Note from the Director:
Since my brother and I first saw the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in our living room way back in 1970-something I have been mesmerized with the film. The timeless lesson presented to us all, how to grow up and stay pure of heart and imagination is one I personally have aspired to maintain. As a child I often contemplated what made Charlie the winner and why were the other children so rotten?
Now I find myself asking the same types of questions as a parent. The Oompa Loompas become our conscience reminding us to constantly monitor right and wrong. The comical twist also reminds us to approach life with a sense of humor in an attempt
to survive. I would like to especially thank those who made this play possible for me.
Thank you for believing in the power of IMAGINATION:
- Lynn Niston! Thank you for being the director to the director and at times the anesthesiologist.
- Marilyn Russell, without whom this would just be a bunch of people acting.
- Barbara Bravo for leading the way to amazing costumes for such a diverse cast.
- Chad Evett for once again being the master mind behind incredible special effects.
- Ken Schroll for lending me your expertise, talent and skills.
- Picketwire for providing me with the opportunity to direct this show.
- All the behind the scenes people who keep the show running.
- Melissa Root for doing all those little things that make a BIG difference.
- Thank you to all the cast and their families who made this show possible.
- My family for tolerating me while I follow my dreams.
- My brother Scott who started on this journey with me a long time ago in front of our TV (this one's for you)!
Please come with me ...
