Picketwire Patrons were first organized in March 1977 by these La Junta ladies:

Barbara Miller Shirley Garlington Mary Stewart Jean Ann Sabin

Their purpose in establishing Patrons for the Picketwire Theater was to give moral and financial support to the Picketwire Players and to support the performing and visual arts in La Junta and the Arkansas Valley.

The Picketwire Board of Directors were proud to welcome support of the Picketwire Patrons.  Their support was, and continues to be invaluable to the running of the Picketwire Center. 

In appreciation for being a Picketwire Patrons they receive:

1. First choice of seating for all productions at the Picketwire Center.
2. Each patron’s name is listed on the Picketwire Player’s web site for the year he or she is a Patron.
3. Each Patron’s name is listed in each Picketwire program for the year he or she is a Patron.
